Filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is your key to unlocking financial aid. Completing and submitting the FAFSA using the HPU school code (002933) will provide us with the information we need to determine your need-based aid eligibility and share your official award offer from HPU.

Regardless of income, we encourage all students to complete the FAFSA in order to be considered for federal, state and institutional financial aid programs, including grants, scholarships, work-study and loans.

 
 
Stop 1

Creating your accounts and gathering documents

First, you and your parent(s) must register for your own StudentAid.gov accounts using social security numbers (SSN) and unique email addresses.

Next, gather the information and documents you’ll need on hand while filling out the FAFSA, including SSNs and driver’s license numbers.

Completing the FAFSA

Log into fafsa.gov to fill out the 2024-25 FAFSA. It takes most people less than one hour to complete from start to finish. 
When prompted, include the HPU school code: 002933. This ensures that the Office of Student Financial Planning receives the results of your FAFSA.

Applying for admission

If you haven’t yet, be sure to submit your application to High Point University. It takes only 15 minutes, and we’ll waive your application fee if you use waiver code HPU20283E.
